Aside from the sordid headlines on news channels about suicide, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arre.co.in\/bollywood\/saif-ali-khan-nepotism\/\">nepotism<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arre.co.in\/bollywood\/are-drugs-an-open-secret-in-showbiz-controversies-rhea-chakraborty-ragini-dwivedi\/\">drugs<\/a>, Bollywood has also been making a mess of the things that should be easy, like releasing a trailer or new film that the audience loves (looking at you, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arre.co.in\/bollywood\/sadak-2-review-the-first-film-mahesh-bhatt-has-directed-in-two-decades-and-it-shows\/\">Sadak 2<\/a><\/em>). Another major flub released yesterday, the song \u201cBeyonce Sharma Jayegi\u201d from the upcoming <em>Khaali Peeli<\/em>, annoying social media users with its absolutely tone-deaf lyrics. Many Indian fans of Beyonce Knowles even posted apologies to the international superstar for her name being sullied by the ill-conceived lyrics.\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I want to apologise to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Beyonce?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Beyonce<\/a> from Bollywood. Now that the song has been released with those lyrics and is on the internet, we should all take a moment of silence for the lyricists Kumaar and Raj Shekhar, who did not see the irony of comparing Beyonce Knowles, a proud and successful Black woman, with a girl whose most remarkable quality is the fairness of her skin in their song.\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">How do they not realise \u201cTujhe dekh ke goriya, Beyonce sharma jaegi\u201d is a very racist thing to say? How can you pen lyrics that use fairness as an adjective while comparing to a black woman? After the debacle that was the release of the <em>Sadak 2<\/em> trailer, and now the widespread rejection of \u201cBeyonce Sharma Jayegi\u201d, it appears that YouTube is not as hospitable to Bollywood content as it used to be.\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-center\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bollywood celebs stood up for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BlackLivesMatter?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BlackLivesMatter<\/a> but when it comes to their own industry, they have the audacity to release &#8216;Beyonce Sharma Jaegi&#8217; with racist and sexist lyrics &#8221;Oh tujhe dekh ke goriya Beyonce sharma jayegi&#8221;.
