Some days, you\u2019re the saviour and on other days, someone comes to your rescue. \u201cAvoid MG Road, it\u2019s flooded.\u201d \u201cGo to *insert Mall*\u00a0 today, there\u2019s a 40 per cent off everywhere.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s pest control happening in C block, close your windows.\u201d And on it goes, because in this barter economy, people share everything they know. Sometimes life-saving information such as this <\/span>Karva Chauth<\/span><\/a> the chand won\u2019t show up until 11 pm, so I suggest you watch it online. But just before you shut your eyes, you end up looking at your phone \u2013 that one last time. And thank god for that! By the time you hit the bed, the only consolation is that you have enough goodwill in your kitty. In this urge to be connected at all times, also comes our desire to be thanked and wanted. And what better way for doing that than by compulsive benevolence?
