Still, when a Meerkat — that’s right, an African mongoose — takes potshots at a handsome Bollywood actor, it’s quite impossible to not take notice. As the rest of the world was recovering from the collective hangover caused by last week’s major sporting events, a meerkat somehow found its way onto Twitter. With the arrogance typical of a carnivorous creature, it claimed that it should have played Tiger Shroff’s part in a new car ad, considering it was more “badass” than Shroff Junior. The actor responded, in his typically cool gym-bro fashion, that it was time to “bring it on”. You may not realise it now, but this simple exchange is set to spark off one of the most anticipated “Fight Nights” in recent times — the “Meerkat of the Year vs Student of the Year”. Here’s what to expect from this ultimate showdown:

First a look at how the two fighters square up. Meerkat, a small diurnal herpestidae, comes from the Kalahari desert of Botswana, and is hence capable of withstanding very harsh conditions. It’s grateful to its new fans, who have gathered under the banner #TeamMeerkat, since it received very little support from its parents growing up.
